Announcing MMTS ‘s member’s area!!
We have created a member’s area that will allow its member’s to download public domain Navigation and Merchant Marine publication that are useful for mariners studding for licensure. Many of these publications will augment our textbooks and workbooks such as the Nautical Almanac (1981), Tidal Current and Tide Tables (1983), and the USCG Examination room material.
Additionally, we will include miscellaneous publications that we hope will improve our member’s education, Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and Happiness of Life at Sea (HOLAS)*.
*HOLAS was coined by our colleague Dr. Jin, Yongxing in “An English-Chinese Maritime Dictionary” Jin Yongxing et. al.
